Ellington’s Annual Earth Day Celebration
Join us for Ellington’s Annual Earth Day Celebration, a family-friendly event focused on sustainability, community, and environmental awareness! Enjoy a day of fun, education, and action as we come together to make Ellington a greener place to live.
- Over 70 Vendors – Explore booths from local businesses, organizations, and environmental advocates promoting eco-friendly practices.
- Live Entertainment & Refreshments – Enjoy performances, delicious local food, and interactive activities.
- Games & Educational Exhibits – Learn about sustainable living, recycling, and conservation through hands-on experiences.
- Donation Drives & Recycling Collections – Participate in giving back through clothing and household goods collections, as well as a bottle and can drive.
Clean Up Your Neighborhood
Join the community in a town-wide cleanup!
Help keep Ellington beautiful by picking up roadside litter in your neighborhood, favorite park, or school. Every effort makes a difference!
How to Participate: No registration required! Grab your gloves, a trash bag, and invite friends or family to clean up your area.
Trash Drop-Off: A dumpster will be available at the Nellie McKnight Museum for collected litter.

Vendor Details:
- Vendors will be assigned a 10’ x 10’ space if needed.
- Set-up is from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM. All vehicles must be moved from the setup area by 9:15 AM.
- Vendors must remain set up until the event ends at 2:00 PM.
Sponsorship Opportunities:
🌱 Seed Level Sponsor ($25) – Name included on sponsor banner.
🌿 Shrub Level Sponsor ($50) – Name on sponsor banner + Earth Day T-Shirt.
🌳 Tree Level Sponsor ($100) – Name on banner, event announcement, Earth Day T-Shirt, and preferred booth placement.
🎶 Band Sponsor ($500) – First-come, first-serve. Banner displayed on gazebo, premium visibility.
🗑️ Rid-Litter Sponsor ($25) – Bags available for community cleanup. Signage provided by DPW for one month post-event.
♻️ Can/Bottle Drive Sponsor – Set up a collection point at your booth; the sponsor collecting the most will be featured in a special social media post!

Q: Is the event free to attend?
A: Yes! The Earth Day Celebration is free and open to the public.
Q: Do I need to register for Clean Up Your Neighborhood Day?
A: No registration is required. Just grab some gloves, a trash bag, and head out to clean up your neighborhood. Drop off collected items at the designated location.
Q: What types of donations are accepted?
A: Gently used clothing, shoes, handbags, linens, and household goods (including furniture). All items must be clean and in usable condition.
Q: Where do I drop off collected trash, bottles, and cans?
A: A dumpster for trash and a separate collection area for bottles and cans will be available at the Nellie McKnight Museum.
Q: How can I become a vendor or sponsor at the event?
A: Vendors and sponsors can submit their Vendor Form by mail or email.
