There are plenty of festive events scheduled for the weekend, including on Friday, December 5th. Saturday's outdoor events begin at 4:15 pm on the Green with music, a visit from Santa and the lighting of the trees, all culminating in the Torchlight Parade at 5:15 pm.

The Ellington Winterfest will be spreading joy once again this holiday season beginning Friday, December 5th through Saturday, December 6th with many activities by several Ellington organizations at various locations planned.

This year's highlights include a Winterfest Farmers Market, 9am-12pm at EHS, musical performances at the Library and Ellington Congregational Church, a wonderful assortment of refreshments (cookies, cider, mac & cheese, chili, hot chocolate, Chick-fil-A, and more!), a holiday ornament workshop for kids, and an Opening Knight Players performance. 

Ellington Historical Society will offer a Holiday Marketplace, with the Nellie McKnight Museum beautifully decorated for the holidays.

The Ellington Congregational Church once again have its annual Gingerbread House Contest. Registration is here, and you can find more info on their website.

Celebrating Women’s History Month!

The Town of Ellington is proud to recognize Lisa Houlihan. Lisa joined the Town in 2005 as a Zoning and Wetlands Enforcement Officer, bringing with her prior municipal land use experience and a passion for community development. In 2013, she was promoted to Town Planner, a reflection of her dedication, expertise, and continued commitment to the Ellington community.
