Hiring of New Director of Public Works/WPCA Administrator, Ken Radziwon

Ken will be starting with the Town on June 6, 2022, prior to the retirement of Timothy Webb.

Mr. Radziwon was appointed by the Board of Selectmen at a Special Meeting held on May 17, 2022.  

Mr. Radziwon, a professionally licensed Engineer in the State of Connecticut, is a highly qualified professional with 15 years of engineering experience. He has a diverse background in construction, transportation and civil engineering. He has spent a majority of his career working with municipalities designing improvements to their public infrastructure. He has extensive knowledge of roadway design, bicycle and pedestrian facilities, grant writing, and construction administration, among many other related fields. He has also served as an integral member of the Ellington Trails Committee as well as an alternate member of the Planning and Zoning Commission. He has an active working relationship with the Capitol Region Council of Governments, as well as significant supervisory and leadership experience.

The Town of Ellington is very pleased and fortunate to have Mr. Radziwon’s exceptional background, knowledge and leadership added to our Town Staff.

“I’m so pleased to have Ken on board and look forward to the innovation that he’ll bring to the table,” First Selectman Spielman said. “He’s very passionate about taking on this role, and I know that this enthusiasm, along with his experience and expertise, will serve the Town extremely well in the years to come.”

Mr. Radziwon added “I am excited to build upon the great work that Tim and his team have accomplished and eager to bring fresh ideas to the Town while harmonizing the charm that is Ellington.”
