Hiring of Lori Caron, Human Resources Director
Lori is an accomplished HR Specialist with comprehensive experience in employee relations, recruitment, compliance, and benefits administration within the public sector.
She has demonstrated success in optimizing onboarding processes, managing training programs, and supporting employee engagement and wellness initiatives. She brings leadership and a collaborative attitude to the Ellington management team that will enhance the experience of employees as well as our visitors and community members.
"We are happy to welcome Lori as the new HR Director in her hometown,” said First Selectman Burstein. “We are excited to have her join the team and look forward to working together.”

March may be over, but we're not quite done with our Women's History spotlights! Up next is our Ellington Youth Services Director Kristen Harp, who began working for the Town in the summer of 2003. She has had the opportunity to grow across multiple departments and roles over the years. She began her career in education and later moved into youth services to better support the Ellington community by building on positive programming, emphasizing social-emotional learning, and promoting mental health and prevention in a space where young people, and their families, feel supported and can thrive.
