Ellington Welcomes New Senior Center Director

First Selectman Lori Spielman is excited to announce Sheila Grady as the Senior Center Director, effective April 5, 2021, following the retirement of long-time Director Erin Graziani.

Ms. Grady is a highly qualified Human Services professional with fifteen years of integrated experience in senior programming, trends and advocacy.
Ms. Grady previously served as Senior Center Director in the Towns of Ashford and Enfield; she has also held roles with organizations including Visiting Nurse and Health Services of Connecticut, Goodwill Industries, and the Urban League of Greater Hartford.

The Town of Ellington is very pleased and fortunate to have Ms. Grady’s exceptional background and knowledge added to our Human Services team. First Selectman Lori Spielman stated “I’m looking forward to Sheila joining the Town of Ellington as our Senior Center Director. Sheila is very excited to begin to welcome our seniors back to the center with outdoor programming first, and then indoor events when it is safe to do so. Sheila comes to us with broad experience, respect for the accomplishments of Mrs. Graziani and the staff, and fresh new ideas of her own.”

Please join us in welcoming Sheila Grady as our new Senior Center Director. Upon her start date on April 5th, she may be contacted at (860) 870-3133 or email at SGrady@ellington-ct.gov.
