American Rescue Plan Act

At the September 11, 2023 meeting of the American Rescue Plan Task Force, it was decided to continue soliciting for new ARPA project submissions.

The new deadline to submit ideas for the use of these funds is Monday, November 27th; there is an online form option as well as a downloadable PDF.

  The Secretary of the Treasury is adopting, as final the interim final rule published on May 17, 2021, with amendments. The provisions in this document are effective April 1, 2022.

The Connecticut Conference of Municipalities, which Ellington belongs to, also has many resources that are updated regularly and that news and information can be found here.  

CCM has also provided an American Rescue Plan Toolkit, which was designed to help guide municipal leaders in determining how best to use the funding provided.

At the November 9, 2021 Regular Meeting of the Board of Selectmen, the members unanimously approved the creation of an American Rescue Plan Task Force. Read the full Press Release here. The Task Force consists of a member of the Board of Selectmen, a member of the Board of Finance, a resident, a business owner, a non-profit representative, the Finance Officer/Treasurer and the Director of Public Works/WPCA Administrator.
