History

The Ellington Historical Society preserves and interprets the Nellie McKnight home and the Society’s historic collections, promotes activities that celebrate the spirit of Ellington and inspires the appreciation and love of history.

The Nellie McKnight Museum, 70 Main Street, is wholly owned and operated by the Ellington Historical Society. Funding for the operation of the museum comes from the society members dues and individual gifts. Become a member today!
