This proposal reflects the requests of the town's department heads as reviewed and revised by the Finance Officer and Town Administrator.  This proposal serves as the starting point for the Board of Finance as they review and deliberate in the weeks ahead.  The Board of Finance has the responsibility to submit the final proposal to the electors and to set the mill rate.  The public will have multiple opportunities to comment on the proposal.  Check the meeting schedule below for dates and times of meetings.  All meetings are open to the public.  In accordance with Ellington's Charter, the Annual Town Budget Meeting must be held on the 2nd Tuesday of May (May 13, 2025).  At that meeting, the budget may be adopted, OR, if not adopted, adjourned to referendum.
