Employee Spotlight - Tiffany Pignataro
Behind every role is a story. We asked Tiffany to tell us about the experiences, lessons, and motivations that define her work.
An unexpected turn in her career was leaving the private sector for local government:
"The ability to still do the job I love while remaining local and having more flexibility to be a mom to my young boys was the biggest motivating factor."
One of her greatest challenges: working full time while completing graduate school and passing the CPA exam.
“It was the most difficult period of my life, but it taught me self-discipline, perseverance, and belief in myself.”
Advice to her younger self:
“Your confidence will grow from action, not certainty. To become more confident, you need to become comfortable with being uncomfortable.”
A lesson she carries with her:
“Never stop advocating for yourself. The network you build is just as important as the credentials on your resume.”
What she wishes more people understood about her role:
"When Finance Officers question things, it's not personal - it's about protecting taxpayer dollars, ensuring compliance, maintaining strong controls, and safeguarding the Town's financial health."
What drives success in her work:
"A focus on the Town’s long-range financial vision."
Tiffany encourages residents to attend budget meetings and welcomes anyone to call or stop by with questions.
