"When the opportunity to work for this community presented itself, I was not actually searching for a new position; I was quite comfortable in my role at the time. In fact, I had just started my Master of Public Administration and was hesitant to take on a new professional challenge while balancing my studies. However, Ellington offered such a unique opportunity for growth and hands-on learning that I knew I had to accept.

As a growing outer-ring suburb, Ellington provides a front-row seat to see how a municipality truly functions. I have gained direct insight into how a town develops its workforce, departments, and services while tackling the unique obstacles that come with a rising population. It is fascinating to manage the increased demand for services and work toward resolving the common issues that many communities throughout the state are facing today. I am very grateful that I stepped out of my comfort zone to become part of this exceptional team."

Her greatest inspiration:
"My greatest inspiration comes from the generations of leaders and public servants who came before me. It is truly remarkable to consider the collective effort required to build our towns and cities into the vibrant communities they are today.
These individuals laid the groundwork for the essential communal services we often take for granted. From the complex infrastructure and utilities that power our homes to the schools and libraries that foster lifelong learning, their vision has shaped our daily lives. I am also deeply inspired by the development of recreation departments and senior centers, which ensure that our residents remain healthy in both body and mind. Seeing how these established systems work together to support the physical, mental, and educational growth of every citizen is what motivates me to continue this important work."

"My proudest achievements occur when residents take the time to thank us for our assistance, for truly listening to their concerns, and for helping them resolve a difficult issue. It brings me immense joy to receive compliments regarding our commitment to the community.
Providing exceptional customer service is more than just a professional requirement. It is about building a foundation of trust within the town. When a resident leaves our office feeling heard and supported, it reinforces my dedication to public service. I am incredibly fortunate to lead a team that shares this passion for helpfulness and genuine care. These moments of connection remind me why I chose this career path and motivate me to continue improving how we serve every person who walks through our doors."
