State Requirements
- As of October 1, 2009, couples can only obtain their license in the town where the marriage will occur. There is no waiting period after applying for your license.
- As of October 1, 2003, the State of Connecticut passed a law stating that premarital blood tests are no longer required in order to obtain a marriage license.
Certified Copies
You can Request a Certified Copy (PDF) of your marriage license for $20. Please include a self-addressed, stamped envelope for mail requests.
