Finance Department
Duties & Responsibilities
The Finance Officer is responsible for:
- Accounting and reporting of all financial transactions for the Town of Ellington
- Administering Payroll and Accounts Payable
- Investing Town funds
- Preparing financial statements
- Submitting the annual budget to the Board of Finance
- Preparing bid documents, purchasing agent
- Serving as financial adviser to all boards and agencies
The Finance Officer oversees operations in Tax Collector and Tax Assessor's offices.
