Encouraging an Equitable and Just Food System

The Sustainable CT initiative prioritized identifying and addressing the community's needs while fostering sustainable and equitable food systems across the community. Access to food and food resources stands as a cornerstone of community well-being, with every household deserving consistent access to nourishment and community support. Our aim is to establish a just and equitable food system that caters to the diverse needs of our residents.

Insights gleaned from the Community Food Assessment, coupled with extensive discussions with local stakeholders and community members, have yielded actionable strategies to enhance food accessibility.
