Election Day is November 3, 2020. The two polling districts will be open from 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
If, however, you wish to vote by ABSENTEE BALLOT, here is the process - please note, you do not need to call to request an application:
- Every registered voter will receive an APPLICATION for an ABSENTEE BALLOT. This will be sent out from the Secretary of the State during the week of September 8th.
- Voters who want to vote via Absentee rather than going to the polls in person should complete this APPLICATION and return it to the Town Clerk either by mailing it or by dropping it off in the large Dropbox in front of Town Hall.
- On October 2nd, ABSENTEE BALLOTS will begin to be sent to those voters who applied and were accepted by the Town Clerk as bonafide voters in town.
- Voters receiving the ABSENTEE BALLOTS may then complete the ballot (carefully read the instructions) and return the ballot to the Town Clerk, again by either mail or dropping it off in the Dropbox in front of Town Hall. This should be done as soon as possible, particularly if using the US Mail, since the ballots must arrive by November 3rd to be counted.
Both the Application and the Absentee Ballot will include the necessary envelopes for returning each to the local Town Clerk.
