Ellington Medical Transportation Services (EMAT):  EMAT is a transportation service for non-emergency appointments for Ellington residents.  The program is funded in part by the Older Americans Act through the North Central Area Agency on Aging.  EMAT appointments are offered Monday-Thursday between the hours of 9:00am-2:30pm; Fridays between the hours of 9:00am-1:30pm.  EMAT appointments require 14 days prior notice to our Transportation Department.  A $2.00 donation fee is suggested per each trip.

Van Transportation: Regular van services includes rides to the Senior Center, shopping, Out to Lunch programs and occasional evening events.  Request a transportation "packet" by calling the Transportation Line at (860)870-3137 between the hours of 9:00am-12:00pm.  One week notice is required.  A $25.00 donation fee is suggested as an annual donation for transportation.

Our Mission at the Ellington Senior Center is a gathering place for individual ages 60 years and older to socialize, participate in programs and services. 

The Town of Ellington's first Senior Center was established in April 1997. The Center offers many programs and services to enhance the lives of individuals. In January 2000, the Town of Ellington received a grant to purchase a 14 passenger van that is used for programs and activities.
