The Registrars of Voters are elected officials of the town and serve for a four-year term. The registrars are responsible for conducting all elections, primaries and referenda. They are also responsible for registering any eligible person who wishes to become a registered voter and for maintaining the town's voter records.
To register to become a voter in Ellington or to change your voting information (i.e. address, name or party affiliation), please call 860-870-3107 or pick up a voter registration card at our office, the library or the Town Clerk's Office. You may also get an application online from the Secretary of State's website, www.sots.state.ct.us. Return the cards to the Registrar of Voters, P.O. Box 187, Ellington CT 06029.
