A Plan of Conservation and Development (POCD) is an advisory document that is intended to provide a framework of consistent decision making in conservation and development activities over the next ten years. The Connecticut General Statutes require that towns review and potentially amend the POCD at least every ten years. The Ellington PZC last amended the plan in April of 2008. Planimetrics, a consulting firm, was contracted to provide assistance with the update. Public input was necessary to formulate an overall vision for the future of Ellington. Below you will find information about the last POCD amendment, including minutes of the meetings and workshops. Please email any questions or comments to Robert A. Phillips, AICP, Town Planner, at planner@ellington-ct.gov.
