The Recreation Department serves as a conduit between the residents of Ellington and the use of athletic (passive and non-passive) facilities. As a year-round provider of leisure programming the Recreation Department staff will continue to provide safe and cost-effective activities. The Town of Ellington is approaching a crossroads of sorts, due to a school population increase along with the growth of the business community. The Recreation Department plans to help ease that transition by offering more "family" type special events in addition to the popular programming. If you have a suggestion or have a special skill please e-mail the department with your thoughts/suggestions. Volunteers are always welcome, they are the 'backbone' of the community, this department would not function without volunteers.
