Notarial services are available in the Town Clerk's Office during regular business hours.You must appear in person and provide proper identification, such as a driver's license or a photo ID. There is no charge for this service for town residents when notarizing a single, personal document. There is a charge of $5.00 for notarization of each additional document.
There is a $5.00 charge per document for each notarization pertaining to your business.
If you need to verify that a notary is registered within the Town of Ellington, Certificates of Verification are available for $2.00.
Notary Public Certificates and renewal Certificates for notaries residing in Ellington must be registered in the Town Clerk's office. Please appear personally with proper identification. A signature card must be signed and kept on file in the Clerk's office. There is a $10.00 registration fee.
