Eligibility:  Legal Ellington voter, motor vehicle tax, Ellington resident, Ellington resident while attending and graduating from a secondary high school, be it private or public, or a full-time employee of an Ellington business that is sponsoring the team in some manner.  Up to 20 people on one roster.  The deadline for adding/changing players to a roster is July 31st, unless mitigating circumstances arise which must be approved by Mr. Tedford.

Season games begin May 15th and run through July 31st if a makeup game is needed may use a week night.
Each team must have filled out a team roster form, each player must have filled out a complete registration form, and the team fee of $275.00 must be submitted to the Ellington Recreation Department before the team is allowed to play.  If not done before 1st game, will be considered a forfeit and cannot play next scheduled game until all forms and payment is brought to the Recreation Department.  This fee covers a team bat, catchers face mask and throat guard, a game ball and a tee shirt for each team member.
Players may bring their own bat but must be ASA certified, team captains must show umpire each bat the team will be using before the beginning of each game.
In order to play must have at least 8 players on the field, but will allow team to “borrow” a member from opposing team if each team captain agrees.
If a player is ejected by the umpire, they will not be allowed to play in the next game the team is scheduled to play in.
We are playing ASA Rules except for the following:
• 3 home run rule, after 3 home runs are made by a team, the next home run and each after for that team will count as a single for the remainder of that game
• # of women on team, at least 2 women on the field for each team, if this minimum is not reached it is up to the discretion of the opposing captain
• Using a restricted flight ball
• Line-Up Rule, everyone who is on roster and present goes up to bat
• Can switch places on the field between each inning
• After 3 foul balls, each foul ball after will count as a strike
• Mercy Rule, if a team is up by 15 runs after the 5th inning, mercy rule applies
• No League Standings
• 6-12 feet on the pitching arch, umpire will call infractions
